Operation Tomodachi: Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force

Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) personnel and U.S. Sailors with Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 62, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, embark food onto a C-130T that will be flown to Misawa Air Base for humanitarian aid in support of Operation Tomodachi, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. MCAS Iwakuni is an essential strategic co-located air and sea port that supports as a logistical and resupply hub in support of Operation Tomodachi. (U.S. Marine motion imagery by Lance Cpl.
