Latvian Army Prepares for Allied Spirit VI
7th Army Training Command

Latvia is one of 12 nations participating in Allied Spirit VI; an exercise directed by U.A. Army Europe and conducted by 7th Army Training Command. The Latvian Infantry Brigade prepares to set up operations in the Hohenfels Training Area acting as brigade headquarters. The Michigan Army National Guard will support the Latvian IN brigade with brigade HQ responsibilities. Allied Spirit started on March 8 and will continue until March 31. Latvia, and other participating countries, will conduct offensive and defensive maneuvers and test secure communications.
