MCPP-N Equipment Offloaded at Verdal Port
II Marine Expeditionary Force
April 4, 2024 | 4:04
U.S. Marines with Arrival and Assembly Operations Group (AAOG), II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF), offload vehicles from the Samskip Kvitbjorn, a Norwegian cargo ship, at Verdal Port, Norway, April 4, 2024. Marines with II MEF AAOG remained in Norway after the conclusion of Exercise Nordic Response 24 to repair, inspect and manage the return of II MEF and Marine Corps Pre-Positioning Program – Norway (MCPP-N), vehicles and equipment for future use. MCPP-N uses climate-controlled caves across Norway to store munitions to support a Marine Expeditionary Brigade for up to 30 days, and ground equipment to support a Marine Air Ground Task Force built around an infantry battalion task force, combat logistics battalion, and composite aviation squadron.
