U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, and U.S. Navy Sailors with Landing Craft, Air Cushion 52 and 32, Assault Craft Unit 5 transport a tractor, rubber-tired, articulated steering, multi-purpose vehicle and a joint light tactical vehicle from San Clemente Island to Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 28, 2024. ACU 5 helped transport 835,000 pounds of equipment across 58 nautical miles in support of MWSS-373's Strategic Mobility Exercise (STRATMOBEX) II. During STRATMOBEX II, MWSS-373 demonstrated mastery of scalable air-ground support such as expeditious airfield damage repair, forward arming and refueling, integrated engineering, and explosive ordnance disposal operations.
