On the night of November 7, 2004, more than 10,000 Marines, Sailors and Soldiers launched Operation Phantom Fury with the objective of clearing the insurgent-held city of Fallujah, Iraq. Among these troops were LCpls. John Dugan, Jorge Jerez and Daniel Sloniker, all infantry Marines assigned to Charlie Co, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines. Together with their platoon commander, 1st Lt. Travis J. Fuller, they would endure some of the heaviest fighting the Marine Corps had seen since the Vietnam War. This is their story of courage, sacrifice, and remembrance. (U.S. Marine Corps video by SSgt John Martinez, Sgt. Santicia Ambriez, Cpl. Enos Jimenez, and Mass Communicator 1st Class Pedro Rodriguez).
