Timothy Givens, a transportation management coordinator, assigned to the Division Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), speaks on his experience after 15th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division's, spur ride at Skwierzyna, Poland, Aug. 30, 2023. Spur candidates, known as shavetails, must prove their cavalry skills during a spur ride to be inducted into the Order of the Spur and receive their silver spurs.
