The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, recently completed the East Rockaway Inlet Maintenance Dredging and Beach Restoration Project, just before the start of Hurricane Season beginning June 1, 2019. Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite,The 54th Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, hosted a press event announcing the completion of the project.
