National Guard Professional Education Center
July 25, 2019 | 3:21
Future subject matter experts from across the National Guard attended the IPPS-A Training Conference as part of the ongoing roll out of the Integrated Personal and Pay System-Army. IPPS-A SMEs are needed in each unit before an IPPS-A Working Group can arrive to set up the system. Having an IPPS-A SME in every unit is meant to provide a smooth transition to the new IPPS-A system and allow each unit to tailor the IPPS-A system to their unit’s unique administrative needs. Vincent Hayes, Training and Deployment Branch Chief for IPPS-A, explains the need for Soldier IPPS-A SME’s in each unit. Chief Warrant Officer 2 Nicholas Ochipinti, Systems Branch Chief Joint Force Headquarters New Jersey National Guard, explains what he’s learned and the changes needed in his State. IPPS-A Conference, held at the Professional Education Center on Camp Robinson Maneuver Training Center, North Little Rock, Ark., is from July 22 - 26, 2019.
