Hurricane Florence – SC National Guard responds

U.S. Army Spc. Richard Jacobs from Alpha Co., 151st Signal Battalion, deployed from Greenwood, S.C., responds to a high-water mission to check a potential leaking outside propane tank at a private residence in Socastee, S.C. with High-Water Team 7, from Socastee Fire Station #1, as flood waters continue to disrupt the lives of local civilians, Sept. 27, 2018. There are approximately 2,000 South Carolina National Guard Soldiers and Airmen currently on duty to support local authorities in response and recovery operations to the ongoing flooding in that followed Hurricane Florence's landfall. U.S. National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from Pennsylvania, Alaska, New York, Tennessee, Arkansas, Maryland, Virginia, Mississippi and Georgia are also supporting the S.C.
