U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force Europe 17.1 and Black Sea Rotational Force 17.1 participated in Exercise Platinum Eagle 17.2, at Babadag Training Area, Romania, from April 22 to May 5, 2017. The Marines interacted with NATO Allies and partner nations. Partnerships formed from multinational exercises like this, and military-to-military training engagements are crucial in dealing with regional issues and keeping peace in the Eastern Europe.
