Flight Deck Operations CH-53E Super Stallion

A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 reinforced, takes off and lands on the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) while conducting search and rescue operations. Sailors and Marines onboard Bonhomme Richard are conducting search and rescue operations as requested by the Republic of Korea Navy near the scene of the sunken ferry Sewol in the vicinity of the island of Jindo.
