39th Infantry honors 10-year anniversary of Iraq deployment

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas National Guard’s 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team hosted a 10-year reunion here March 22, for the Veterans of its 2004 deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. The brigade deployed into Iraq at a time of increased hostilities due to the Abu Ghraib prison scandal. By the end of the brigade's deployment, 33 lives were lost and over 300 had earned the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat. This video provides an overview of the deployment and the lives we lost. Available in High Definition.
