Vigilant Heroes Sgt. Jae Choi
18th Military Police Brigade
March 2, 2021 | 1:00
Meet Sgt. Jae Choi, a Behavioral Health Specialist (68X) assigned to HHC, 18th Military Police Brigade. Sgt. Choi was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Federal Way, WA when he was 10 years old.
Choi enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2015. "I chose this Military Occupational Speciality (MOS) because I like listening to other people and helping them," he explained.
Sgt. Choi is the only 68X in Vilseck maintaining his own patient loads, providing Alpha-Stim treatment under supervision of Cpt. Amy Thrasher. He emphasizes the importance of behavioral health,"Our goal as [a] behavioral health team is not only to provide behavioral health support to our Soldiers, but to advertise our roles in the Army and its' communities. We want to break down any barriers or stigma about behavioral health. I want to leave this place knowing I made an impact in our unit and in the Army."
Sgt. Jae Choi embodies the Army values and truly puts #PeopleFirst.
