U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe and Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis-response options in Africa and Europe. Throughout 2023, SETAF-AF conducted hundreds of theater security cooperation activities in Africa, led multilateral exercises like African Lion and Justified Accord, executed multiple medical readiness exercises, and stood ready to support crisis response operations throughout Europe and Africa.
