U.S. Army Europe and Africa, along with our NATO and Partner Allies, annually host a Tank Challenge. This training event is designed to give participating nations a dynamic and productive environment in which to foster military partnerships, form Soldier-level relationships, and share tactics, techniques and procedures.

The European International Tank Challenge was formerly known as the Strong Europe Tank Challenge. Images, video and stories that are older will appear under that name further down the timeline.

The JLSG headquarters, at the San Gregorio military training centre in Zaragoza, is the first logistics group created by NATO to provide real logistical support for the Trident Juncture 2015 exercise. JLSG is not a permanent NATO organisation, but a specific new support tool for the planning, reception, movement and transportation of more than 36,000 troops operating in the 3 host countries for the exercise: Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Of those participating at JLSG HQ, 54% are Spanish and the remainder are from 15 allied countries. General Hans-Lothar Domröse, Commander of Joint Force Command Brunssum visits JLSG to get a first-hand look at its operations and capacity. The Commander-in-chief of JLSG, General José Luis Sánchez Alor explains the role of the new JLSG and how it works.
