US Army Europe Best Warrior Logo

U.S. Army Europe and Africa, along with our NATO and Partner Allies, annually host a Tank Challenge. This training event is designed to give participating nations a dynamic and productive environment in which to foster military partnerships, form Soldier-level relationships, and share tactics, techniques and procedures.

The European International Tank Challenge was formerly known as the Strong Europe Tank Challenge. Images, video and stories that are older will appear under that name further down the timeline.

ISR&SOF’s mission is to equip our warfighters to win the fight! The team delivers innovative warfighter capabilities with speed and discipline and plays a large role in ensuring combatant commanders have the information-gathering and targeting capabilities to make informed decisions and eliminate threats.

Led by Col. Joshua P. Williams the directorate has nearly 1,800 employees in 20 locations and leads over 200 programs. The directorate strives to acquire, innovate, and deliver.

Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's (AFLCMC) Life Cycle Industry Days (LCID) and Air Force Research Lab’s (AFRL) Wright Dialogue with Industry (WDI) will take place July 31 - August 4, 2023.

Both events will be co-hosted with Dayton Defense and will be held at the Dayton Convention Center, in Dayton, Ohio.

Though standalone events LCID and WDI are aligned to gain efficiencies in sharing information, collaboration, and discussion.

LCID focuses on the Life Cycle Management Center's future requirements, collaboration opportunities, and topics covering the entire acquisition life cycle and management across AFLCMC portfolios.

Historically, LCID has hosted almost 1,000 Government, Industry, and Academia attendees and every AFLCMC Program Executive Office (PEO). (U.S. Air Force video by Jim Varhegyi)
