U.S. Army Europe and Africa, along with our NATO and Partner Allies, annually host a Tank Challenge. This training event is designed to give participating nations a dynamic and productive environment in which to foster military partnerships, form Soldier-level relationships, and share tactics, techniques and procedures.

The European International Tank Challenge was formerly known as the Strong Europe Tank Challenge. Images, video and stories that are older will appear under that name further down the timeline.

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the Massachusetts Army Reserve’s 325th Transportation Company, 334th Quartermaster Battalion, 655th Regional Support Group, conduct a convoy mission to retrieve vehicles meeting the requirements of the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, or ADR, throughout Poland and Germany from Sept. 4-8, 2023. During this mission, the senior leaders conducted a role swap to allow junior Soldiers to take leadership positions as the convoy commander. The 325th Transportation Company focuses on mastery of individual, crew, platoon, and company warfighting, ensuring that they are trained and prepared at the lowest level. Staff Sgt. Dermoth Oliver Blake II and Spc. Micalah L.Wright, both motor transport operators, switched roles as driver and convoy commander to develop leadership skills for the junior Soldier.
