US Army Europe Best Warrior Logo

U.S. Army Europe and Africa, along with our NATO and Partner Allies, annually host a Tank Challenge. This training event is designed to give participating nations a dynamic and productive environment in which to foster military partnerships, form Soldier-level relationships, and share tactics, techniques and procedures.
 
The European International Tank Challenge was formerly known as the Strong Europe Tank Challenge. Images, video and stories that are older will appear under that name further down the timeline.

This edition features stories on the beginning of the voluntary phase of the NCO retraining program this year, a workshop for commanders and leaders to improve their actionable strategic planning framework and standardizing strategic dialogue, Airman treating teeth in Africa as a part of exercise MEDFLAG 2009, Airmen training to prepare for possibly encountering improvised explosive devices (IEDs) while deployed to combat zones, Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) from the U.S. working with allies JTACs using the Remotely Operated Video Enhanced Receiver (ROVER) training device, and the U.S. Air Force Academy being named the “Best Baccalaureate College” in the West by for the third year in a row by U.S. News and World Report.
