US Army Europe Best Warrior Logo

U.S. Army Europe and Africa, along with our NATO and Partner Allies, annually host a Tank Challenge. This training event is designed to give participating nations a dynamic and productive environment in which to foster military partnerships, form Soldier-level relationships, and share tactics, techniques and procedures.

The European International Tank Challenge was formerly known as the Strong Europe Tank Challenge. Images, video and stories that are older will appear under that name further down the timeline.

128th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment
July 8, 2019 | 2:10
Lcpl. Brice Bowles speaks on participants from the U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, and Australian Defense Force, showcasing a live fire of the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). The event included a simulated combined joint force maneuver, which included an RBS 70 Air Defense System, AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, and High Mobility Transporters (HMT's). Exercises like Talisman Saber provide effective and intense training to ensure U.S. and Australian forces are capable, interoperable, deployable on short notice and combat-ready.
