USAREUR-AF International Tank Challenge

US Army Europe Best Warrior Logo

U.S. Army Europe and Africa, along with our NATO and Partner Allies, annually host a Tank Challenge. This training event is designed to give participating nations a dynamic and productive environment in which to foster military partnerships, form Soldier-level relationships, and share tactics, techniques and procedures.
 
The European International Tank Challenge was formerly known as the Strong Europe Tank Challenge. Images, video and stories that are older will appear under that name further down the timeline.

On 10 May 2024, the 13B teams demonstrated their proficiency in live fires and contact reactions and executed degraded operations with precision. Their adept responses to UAV and breech malfunctions underscored their readiness and agility.

Simultaneously, the 13J teams showcased their expertise in coordinating fire missions. Excelling in written exams and seamlessly managing digital TLB V processing, they manned the FDC section in the field with seamless efficiency.

Meanwhile, the 13F teams exhibited remarkable versatility, from establishing tactical comms to executing dismounted movements and operational occupation. Their successful completion of FFE and AF missions, coupled with precise terrain sketches and intel handovers, epitomized their preparedness for diverse challenges.
