Memorial Day Message 2020
Joint Force Headquarters - Nebraska National Guard
May 23, 2020 | 6:18
A Memorial Day Message by Maj. Gen. Daryl Bohac, Nebraska adjutant general, asking all Nebraskans to reflect on the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II. Last year, he traveled to Normandy, France to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Saint Lo with Soldiers of today's Nebraska Army National Guard, and in this video he asks viewers to remember all the lives lost during the Battle of Saint Lo and every battle since by joining together – even virtually – for a the National Moment of Remembrance which asks Americans, wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, to pause for one minute to remember those who have died in military service to their country. The Nebraska National Guard will premiere a moment of silence and the playing of Taps on its social media at 3 p.m. CT on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2020.
