On Oct. 10, 2018, Hurricane Michael struck the Florida Panhandle devastating much of the Florida coastline and property as the storm made its' way through the Southeast.

While many structures, forestation, and other ecological areas did not withstand the force of Michael, the 20-year U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District Panama City Beach coastal restoration not only withstood the onslaught of Hurricane Michael but provided additional protection against the hurricane's intense storm surge.
