California Guard military police activiated for Northern California fires
California National Guard Primary
Sept. 21, 2015 | 5:09
California Sheriff Brian L. Martin, sheriff of Lake County, California, speaks about the role of the California Army National Guard and its assistance to the Lake County community during the Valley Fire in Northern California. The 870th Military Police Company, 49th Military Police Brigade (Homeland Response Force), California Army National Guard, activated to augment California law enforcement as residents returned to homes. Civilians were displaced, some for more than a week, due to the Valley Fire that burned more than 75,000 acres and destroyed more than 1,000 structures in just over a week.
