116th IBCT completes mission rehearsal exercise ahead of Kosovo deployment
HOHENFELS, Germany – U.S. Army Sgt. Rebekka Lee Poss, a medic assigned to the Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. based 547th Medical Company (Area Support), 62nd Medical Brigade, and a native of Anaheim Hills, Calif., prepares a simulated casualty for evacuation during a mass casualty exercise at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany, Feb. 17, 2022. The 547th Med. Co. is attached to the Virginia National Guard’s 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 29th Infantry Division, to provide medical support to the brigade as part of Kosovo Force 30, NATO’s peace-support operation to build peace and stability in the area.

U.S. Army Soldier is leader in the making
On Nov. 4, 2020, a mock traffic accident blocked off an intersection in Hohenfels, Germany. A light medium tactical vehicle was staged to hit two mopeds, spilling their passengers onto the road. Military police were already on the scene providing first aid to the victims when the medics arrived. Immediately, the medics stepped in and took over emergency care of the wounded.
