An M1 Abrams main battle tank is the first of nearly 200 vehicles and equipment items from 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division to arrive in Europe aboard the “Liberty Passion”, a commercial cargo vessel, which docked in Alexandroupoli, Greece, March 21, 2022. The 3rd ABCT is the ninth armored rotational unit to deploy to Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve. The “Iron Brigade” will join two other brigades in Europe under the command of the U.S. Army V Corps, which retains command control of all rotational units in the European theater. The rotation will include joint and multinational training events to build readiness, increase interoperability and enhance the bond between NATO Allies and regional partner nations. Anderson and Jaworski attended FABOLC together at Fort Sill, Okla., in 2018 and coincidentally ran into each other at DPTA. 1st Infantry Division builds multinational partnerships with allied training in Romania
U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment “Iron Rangers,” 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division call in a medical evacuation during a situational training exercise in Cincu, Romania, Sept. 23, 2021. This training was a part of multiple situational training exercises that U.S. Soldiers executed with multinational partners from Romania, Poland and Portugal. Interoperability is key to the Army Vision, it is critical that the U.S. stands side-by-side with our allies and partners to maintain overmatch and increase lethality against future threats.

1st Infantry Division participates in MSPO defense exhibition in Poland

Surface Warriors from 838th Transportation Battalion - SDDC and the 21st TSC continue to bring 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division combat power into Europe with the ‘Liberty Peace’ arriving in Klaipeda, Lithuania July 13, 2021. 1-1ID will replace 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division and will conduct multinational training in support of Atlantic Resolve.
