Merchant mariners onboard M/V Green Bay, a contracted roll-on, roll-off vessel with Military Sealift Command, pull into Bremerhaven port during exercise DEFENDER-Europe 20. Green Bay transited more than 470 pieces of equipment across the Atlantic for the exercise. DEFENDER-Europe 20 will not only test the U.S. military's global deployment and strategic readiness capabilities, it will also test our ability to work with our NATO allies and partners to receive and move a large force, requiring the support of tens of thousands of service members and civilians in multiple nations across the theater.
