Combat Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System
U.S. Soldiers with 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division install a combat vehicle tactical engagement simulation system (CVTESS) on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle at the 7th Army Training Command’s Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Jan. 9, 2020. The CVTESS is a laser and radio frequency based system utilized in live simulation training to simulate the effects of realistic battlefield conditions for armored vehicles, light-skinned vehicles, bunkers, and fixed targets.
