Senior land force commanders from more than 35 allied and partner nations met Oct. 23-25 for the 27th annual Conference of European Armies at U.S. Army Europe Headquarters here. The three-day conference was co-hosted by U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. James C. McConville and U.S. Army Europe Commanding General Lt. Gen. Christopher Cavoli. This year's discussions focused on topics including strategic readiness, interoperability, modernization in the European theater, and more. CEA has been the premier U.S. Army Europe hosted general officer-level theater security cooperation event since 1988. CEA provides a venue for strengthening relationships between European ground forces, enhancing interoperability, and improving regional cooperation with a focus on global security, peace and stability.
