Soldiers assigned to the Mission Command Element, 1st Infantry Division, from Fort Riley, Kansas, embark on the second day of a convoy from Poznan, Poland to Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, May 27, 2018. The purpose of the convoy was to move the unit across Poland and establish a Tactical Command Post (TAC) near BPTA in support of the upcoming Saber Strike exercise. Saber Strike is a multinational exercise scheduled to run from June 3-15 that tests the 18,000 participants from 19 countries on their ability to work together and improve each unit's ability to perform their designated missions.
