RC-26 and an interview with mission systems operator Major Will Fowler during Exercise Southern Strike 15 (SS15). SS15 takes place at the Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Miss., on Oct 30, 2014. Southern Strike 15 is a total force, multi-service training exercise hosted by the Mississippi National Guard's Combat Readiness Training Center which emphasizes air-to-air, air-to-ground and special operations forces training opportunities. These events are integrated into demanding hostile and asymmetric scenarios with actions from specialized ground forces and combat and mobility air forces. Produced by Tech Sgt. Jason Kilanski.

Soldiers live fire FPV drones in Germany

Soldiers conducted a live fire of first-person view drones for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Feb. 17-20, 2025. Although drones have been incorporated into training for years, this event combined FPV drones with live munitions in a series of live fire flights, all within range safety standards. The success is a result of collaboration between U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, 7th Army Training Command, Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
