Ceremony Marks Completion of Center Hill Dam Barrier Wall

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District culminated the installation of a concrete barrier wall through the embankment at Center Hill Dam with a ceremony May 18, 2015 on the dam’s work platform in Lancaster, Tenn. The work by the contractor, Bauer Foundation Corporation, began in 2012. Dignitaries celebrated the milestone by putting together a small-scale model of the barrier wall to symbolize the completion of this phase of the dam safety project. (USACE video by Leon Roberts)

Soldiers live fire FPV drones in Germany

Soldiers conducted a live fire of first-person view drones for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Feb. 17-20, 2025. Although drones have been incorporated into training for years, this event combined FPV drones with live munitions in a series of live fire flights, all within range safety standards. The success is a result of collaboration between U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, 7th Army Training Command, Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
