Jakin Buckalew, an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet at Auburn University, talks about how AFROTC and his experience as a power-lifter at Auburn has shaped him into a more confident leader. In Air University's program, cadets are students first and spend an average of four to six contact hours weekly as freshmen and sophomores. Successful completion of a four-year accredited degree program and Air Force ROTC leads to a commission as a second lieutenant in the Air Force.
