U.S. and Peruvian military engineers are working side-by-side on a clinic construction project in Independencia, Peru, as part of New Horizons 2012. The facility will provide 24 hour emergency care and OB/GYN services to the community. U.S. and Peruvian military engineers are honing their skills and learning from one another while working on the project. New Horizons is an annual U.S. Southern Command-sponsored joint and combined training and humanitarian assistance exercise conducted in Latin American and Caribbean nations. Includes an interview, in Spanish with slated translations, of Ervin Wilfredo Gonzales Arcos, Cirujano Dentisto. Produced by Staff Sgt. Jeffrey St. Sauveur.

Soldiers live fire FPV drones in Germany

Soldiers conducted a live fire of first-person view drones for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Feb. 17-20, 2025. Although drones have been incorporated into training for years, this event combined FPV drones with live munitions in a series of live fire flights, all within range safety standards. The success is a result of collaboration between U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, 7th Army Training Command, Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
