The Growing Role of Jordanian Servicewomen

Co-led by the Czech Republic and Norway, this is NATO´s third Trust Fund project in Jordan. It aims to support a three-year action plan contributing to the preparation of Jordanian women soldiers through the modernisation of their courses and training facilities, currently hemmed in by other buildings which are owned by various divisions of the male military forces. A new site will allow for expansion.
Teaser: Jordan´s Military Women’s 10-year Strategy set out in 2006 has brought improved conditions and entitlements for women and expanded their integration within the country’s armed forces. However, challenges remain.
