Now, the British units (South Forces) try to delay their further advance. The Norwegian Home Guard QRF Heron HV-14 (North Forces) have cleared the front so that the Brigade North can continue onwards with their armored units and allies from Germany.

Exercise Trident Juncture 2018 brings together around 50,000 personnel, 10,000 vehicles, 65 ships and 250 aircraft from 31 NATO Allies and partner nations. Held in Norway, the NATO exercise starts on 25 October and continues through 7 November.

“We´re apart of 26th Field Squadron, that´s Royal Engineers. It´s been attached to the infantry here to try and slow down and deter the enemy by using obstacles. We use such things as a phony mine field, that really slows down the enemy, makes them think about the area they have to move into. We use a lot of wiring, using razor wire, barbwire, to really slow down the enemy in that area. Which chokes the enemy to a certain stage and letting the infantry really expose the enemy in that area. So they can attack the enemy and ultimately kill the enemy.”
