U.S. Air Force KC-135 crew members from the 340th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, refuel a B-1 Lancer, C-130 Hercules, RAF GR-4 Tornado, and a RAAF E-7A Wedgetail over Southwest Asia 24 December 2015. Fuel was delivered to these units so that they can continue the fight in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

Soldiers live fire FPV drones in Germany

Soldiers conducted a live fire of first-person view drones for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Feb. 17-20, 2025. Although drones have been incorporated into training for years, this event combined FPV drones with live munitions in a series of live fire flights, all within range safety standards. The success is a result of collaboration between U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, 7th Army Training Command, Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
