U.S. Marines and residents of Okinawa receive a lesson on traditional Japanese "nihonshu" and participate in a tuna cutting ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, March 11, 2023. The sake pairing class was taught by Col. Jason Berg, Assistant Chief of Staff, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, to teach Americans and Okinawans the history, science and production of traditional sake. The tuna cutting is a traditional ceremony that was hosted in order to continue improving the Japanese-American partnership and friendship. Berg is a native of Virginia, and Col. Soldiers live fire FPV drones in Germany

Soldiers conducted a live fire of first-person view drones for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Feb. 17-20, 2025. Although drones have been incorporated into training for years, this event combined FPV drones with live munitions in a series of live fire flights, all within range safety standards. The success is a result of collaboration between U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, 7th Army Training Command, Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
