The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Hydropower Program is the largest generator of hydropower in the US, with 75 power-producing dams housing 356 individual generating units. USACE’s hydropower assets generate more than 70 billion kilowatt-hours per year of clean renewable energy. This clean energy is enough to power 10 cities the size of Seattle. Additionally, the revenue generated by the USACE hydropower fleet is used to repay the original construction costs of the hydropower projects and to fund the operation, maintenance, and modernization investments of the hydropower fleet. Soldiers live fire FPV drones in Germany

Soldiers conducted a live fire of first-person view drones for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Feb. 17-20, 2025. Although drones have been incorporated into training for years, this event combined FPV drones with live munitions in a series of live fire flights, all within range safety standards. The success is a result of collaboration between U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, 7th Army Training Command, Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
