On June 1, Major General John Brennan, Commanding General of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve, bid farewell to the outgoing
Combined Special Operations Joint Task Force-Levant Commanding General, Brigadier General Isaac Peltier, and welcomed Brigadier General Claude Tudor as the new Commanding General at a transfer of authority ceremony.

CSOJTF-L will continue to advise, assist, and enable partner forces to ensure the lasting defeat of daesh, improve partner force capabilities and interoperability, and promote the long-term security of the Levant.

Soldiers live fire FPV drones in Germany

Soldiers conducted a live fire of first-person view drones for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Feb. 17-20, 2025. Although drones have been incorporated into training for years, this event combined FPV drones with live munitions in a series of live fire flights, all within range safety standards. The success is a result of collaboration between U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, 7th Army Training Command, Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
