DEFENDER is the Army’s largest annual opportunity to exercise moving personnel and equipment into theater across modes for initial and follow-on operations critical to Large Scale Combat Operations. Led by U.S. Army Europe and Africa, the exercise focuses on the strategic deployment of CONUS-based forces, employment of Army Prepositioned Stock and follow-on exercises demonstrating lethality and interoperability with Allies and partners

JBLM Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course

The Basic Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course and Advanced Rider Course are provided under the Installation Management Command’s Army Traffic Safety Training Program at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, August 24, 2023.

Upon completion of the Basic Rider Course, service members may use their completion certificate to obtain a valid motorcycle endorsed license from Washington State, which is required to operate a motorcycle.

The basic course teaches riders how to start and operate a motorcycle, safety-oriented mental strategies and basic rider skills.
