DEFENDER is the Army’s largest annual opportunity to exercise moving personnel and equipment into theater across modes for initial and follow-on operations critical to Large Scale Combat Operations. Led by U.S. Army Europe and Africa, the exercise focuses on the strategic deployment of CONUS-based forces, employment of Army Prepositioned Stock and follow-on exercises demonstrating lethality and interoperability with Allies and partners

230612-N-KC192-0001 Portsmouth, Va. (June 12, 2023) A Naval Medical Forces Atlantic (NMFL) regional video production celebrates 125 years of the establishment of the hospital corpsman rating. Hospital Corpsmen are enlisted medical sailors who fill critical roles by serving in Marine units, military treatment facilities, and aboard submarines and surface ships as independent duty corpsmen. The Hospital Corps was established on June 17, 1898, and is comprised of more than 26,000 active duty and reserve hospital corpsmen that practice or train in 40 technical specialties.
