DEFENDER 25 Outreach tour

 

 

DEFENDER is the Army’s largest annual opportunity to exercise moving personnel and equipment into theater across modes for initial and follow-on operations critical to Large Scale Combat Operations. Led by U.S. Army Europe and Africa, the exercise focuses on the strategic deployment of CONUS-based forces, employment of Army Prepositioned Stock and follow-on exercises demonstrating lethality and interoperability with Allies and partners

On this AFN Europe Report: On February 7th, U.S. Marines participated in cold weather training in Setermoen, Norway. The Marines prepared for Nordic Response, a component of exercise Steadfast Defender 2024. Nordic Response involves approximately 90,000 troops from all 31 allies and Sweden, assessing their ability to coordinate movements across diverse regions.

On February 8th, Polish and U.S. Soldiers from the 9th Brigade Engineer Battalion work together to enhance a tank trail in Trzebien, Poland. This collaborative effort between Polish allies and the U.S. Army aims to improve mobility and mission execution during training exercises.
