DEFENDER 25 Outreach tour

DEFENDER is the Army’s largest annual opportunity to exercise moving personnel and equipment into theater across modes for initial and follow-on operations critical to Large Scale Combat Operations. Led by U.S. Army Europe and Africa, the exercise focuses on the strategic deployment of CONUS-based forces, employment of Army Prepositioned Stock and follow-on exercises demonstrating lethality and interoperability with Allies and partners

Various civilians across Letterkenny Army Depot execute missions in support of air defense and long-range precision fires sustainment programs.

Letterkenny Army Depot’s core expertise is in air and missile defense and long-range precision fires systems, supporting systems for the Department of Defense, foreign partners and industry. As part of the Army’s Organic Industrial Base, LEAD supports current unit readiness across the force, maintains the ability to surge in times of war and contingency, and is actively modernizing to sustain the next generation of equipment. Our workforce’s expertise supports many disciplines, including electrical, electronics, automotive, power generation, fabrication and engineering, that will be required to support the breadth of variety in multi-domain operations. LEAD has successfully executed programs that range in scope from inspection and repair to new build and even design and fabrication as the Army’s only organic Original Equipment Manufacturer.
