U.S. Marine Corps Col. David E. Jones with Headquarters and Service Battalion, Headquarters Marine Corps, retires from military service during a ceremony at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on March 14th, 2024 in Triangle, Virginia. Col. Jones served for 33 years and among the many achievements in his Marine Corps career was his selection and transfer to the White House to serve as the Military Aide to the Vice President of the United States, after a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
