Recruit Takeover - RDC Assessment

Recruits participate in the Recruit Division Commander (RDC) Assessment at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command (RTC), Great Lakes, Illinois. The RDC Assessment is first Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) conducted during basic military training. This is completed in week four, and shows the RDCs how the recruit will perform during the official PFA. Boot camp is approximately 10 weeks and all enlistees into the U.S. Navy begin their careers at the command. More than 40,000 recruits train annually at the Navy’s only boot camp.
