U.S. Soldiers and European allies gather to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France, March 31-June 6, 2023. 1st Infantry Division Soldiers, representatives of sister divisions, and European allies toured historical landmarks and monuments dedicated to the units that landed and fought on D-Day, demonstrating the strength of alliance from the events of World War II, which forged almost eight decades of combat-credible collective defense.
