101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)

The town of Eerde, Netherlands joined together with Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) on September 15, 2024 to unveil a bench with a 101st Airborne Soldier overlooking the spot that the pathfinders dropped at during September, 1944 to begin Operation Market Garden. Operation Market Garden was an Allied military operation during the Second World War fought in the Nazi-occupied Netherlands from 17 to 25 September 1944.
