HOHENFELS, Germany —
U.S. Allied and partner nations increase lethality during Exercise Combined Resolve 25-2, from May 1 to June 2, 2025, at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany.
The exercise is designed to enhance interoperability, strengthen multinational partnerships, and refine combat readiness. The 18th Polish Mechanized Infantry Division will serve as the Division High Command, reinforcing NATO’s commitment to collective defense.
The 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division will employ the Army’s Transformation in Contact (TiC) concept, marking the first TiC fielding for an Armored Brigade Combat Team in Europe. This training will integrate new small, unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and advanced warfighting concepts based on real-world lessons from the only large-scale ground combat operations in the world, Ukraine.
The TiC concept allows units to rapidly field and test a range of commercial off-the-shelf technologies, ensuring U.S., Allied and partner forces maintain unmatched lethality in large-scale combat operations.
Combined Resolve 25-2 will validate 1st Brigade’s TiC construct and enhance its ability to respond to crisis or conflict. TiC is grounded in one simple principle: increased lethality by creating more agile and mobile formations capable of winning in complex combat scenarios.
The Joint Multinational Readiness Center, the 7th Army Training Command Directorate, will lead the exercise. All questions or media inquiries regarding Exercise Combined Resolve should be referred to the 7ATC Public Affairs, E-mail: 7atc_pao@army.mil.
