WIESBADEN, Germany —
U.S. Army Europe and Africa will bid farewell to Gen. Christopher Cavoli and welcome Gen. Darryl A. Williams as the new commanding general during a change of command ceremony on Clay Kaserne June 28, at 2:30 p.m. Central European Time.
After more than four years as the USAREUR-AF commander, Cavoli heads to U.S. European Command where he assume command of all U.S. military forces within the European theater and also serve as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO.
Williams, who is currently the superintendent at West Point Military Academy in West Point, New York, has served in positions of command several times within Europe, to include assignments in Turkey, Italy and Germany.
