WIESBADEN, Germany —

U.S. Army Europe invites members of the press to participate in a media event at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Army's Prepositioned Stock in Zutendaal, Belgium.

U.S. soldiers participating in the U.S.-led Defender-Europe 2020 military exercise will be retrieving military equipment and vehicles such as tactical trucks and trailers, material handling equipment, sustainment equipment, containers, and associated materials.

The APS-2 site in Zutendaal shares the base with the Belgian Army and is part of the U.S. Army's Prepositioned Stocks Program which strategically prepositions critical war stocks afloat and ashore worldwide to reduce deployment response times for a quick and agile expeditionary Army.

U.S. Embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium Chargé d’Affaires Nicholas Berliner, U.S. military leaders, and invited Belgian provincial and local officials will observe the operations and be available for interviews.
